Accelerates Tissue Regeneration - Gel to Reduces Pain

Platelet gel has a high concentration of platelets that release the bioactive proteins and growth factors necessary to initiate and accelerates tissue regeneration and tissue repair. Platelet gel to reduces pain.

Two growth factors play a major role in promoting tissue regeneration: PDGF, a powerful chemoattractant, and TGF-beta, which stimulates the synthesis and the deposition of extracellular matrix. Since their first appearance in clinical studies, platelet gel and platelet releasate or lysate have been used for therapeutic applications that include a number of pathological conditions requiring bony and soft tissue reconstruction.

Platelet-derived cytokines and growth factors have a crucial role in the modulation of the wound-healing process, in reducing the healing time and the lesion-associated pain. After an acute wound blood clotting occurs.

Platelets engaged in the clot promptly release several growth factors which are necessary to initiate and accelerates tissue regeneration and enhance dermal, epidermal, and deep tissue regeneration. This natural process equally effective if concentrated platelets are used for topical platelet-therapy by means of the platelet gel. Topical platelet gel has been shown to be effective in accelerating tissue regeneration and in reducing pain in several clinical settings.

In total shoulder arthroplasty the treatment with platelet gel significantly lowered pain scores and antalgic requirements compared with control patients also providing increased internal rotation capacity postoperatively. Similarly, in total knee arthroplasty, treatment with platelet gel reduced pain thus reducing both intravenous and oral narcotic requirement and shortening the average hospital stay by 1 day.

In dental implant and in oral surgery, tissue healing is supported by platelet-gel which provides factors (TGF-beta and FGF) which stimulate cellular proliferation, matrix formation, collagen synthesis, osteoid production, and other processes that accelerates tissue regeneration.

In cosmetic surgery the advantages of using platelet gel are accelerated healing, less bleeding and bruising, less pain, lower risk of superficial infection, less exudative oozing.

In sports medicine treatment of patients with chronic elbow tendinosis platelet gel to reduces pain significantly.
