WHAT IS THE AUTOLOGOUS PLATELET-RICH PLASMA?

The autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a blood derivative containing the patient’s own platelets concentrated up to tenfold the original blood concentration. It is the blood component necessary to prepare the platelet gel, a malleable product particularly rich in tissue-regeneration and healing factors, used to hasten the recovery of acute and chronic lesions affecting soft (e.g. skin) and bony tissues.
